Suppose I is a wee bit of a sad panda sometimes though eh! ^^;
Not updated in as many months as I've been at uni in Aber... 'tis an excuse, or so I'd say.
...So that's where I'll start. Aberystwyth. My home for the best part of 3 years to come.
Currently staying in a wonder of cardboard construction named Brynderw. I'm on the freakin' TOP floor... though it has it's plus points...
~ It's in town not up the mile-long campus hill
~ Cheap food 5 mins walk away
~ Art department is RIGHT next door! xD
~ On my floor is a wonderful mix of people! The fire-swinging pot-puffer, the girly pink lover, the messy athletic and the charming Swiss gentleman.
Made many a good friend and we've all become nicely bonded in the past 3 months ^_^ So much so, the 8 of us have already found ourselves a 'tardis-house' near the seafront, where, hopefully, we shall live fo our last 2 years together. Fun eh!
As for the work-side of things... Well, the practicals are interesting, and I've done some decent stuff I guess. Outside of that it's surprisingly A-Level -_- Also, 'art history'... WHY?! There's a whole BA course for that... and I din't pick it! Still, nice to know I ain't the only one who falls asleep during those lectures.
Exams in January. Uber joy joy! ¬_¬
Enough of that! I'm home for Xmas now and 'tis almost the start of a whole new era. Kinda weird how I now see Aber as my actual home. Almost like I have a family there...with Mother Jenny and all that shtuff. *should be shot for in-jokes* Guess I've also become different in myself too, though there's new people who seem to love me for it, so I'll just go with that flow.
Ah, I mush shoosh now and faff round with makeup removing before bed.

Been SO long since I last updated and SO much has happened...
...Mebbe I should just do brief notes this time...
April 26 ~ Art exam started... Wasn't as 'formal' as usual. Had a wee bit more fun this time, even though my piece was a bit randomly stuck together ^^; May show it off sometime, maybe.
May 22 ~ Psychology resit... Kinda glad I did this, even if it did mean re-learning several booklets worth of info. -_- Felt I did a bit better though. Questions were probably easier!
May 25 ~ Study leave starts... And this time we didn't have to go back afterwards! Took the first few weeks geekin'-out and seeing Nath before I was shackled into piles of reading for me upcoming sociology & more psychology. Think I did a grand total of 4 days sociology revision >_>
June 29 ~ Leaver's Ball... Which was better than our year 11 prom! Music was only slightly less cheesey, but the food was muuuch better! The place had even made us special Tythy cakes! xD I also won an award for being the 'most stylishly dressed' *jigs* Still have to get copies of people's photos.
June 30 ~ Folks on holiday... So I went sunnin' it up in Birmingham for 2 weeks whilst they were in Greece! lol? Was actually awsome staying with Nath, though. 'Tis the longest period of time we've spent together since the start of our relationship, which seems kinda odd. o_O; Still, he took me to Cadbury World for our 10 month celebration! SO much fun, yet after a pot of melted chocolate I felt a bit iffy... Also had a teriffying dream that night because of eating too many gummi snakes >_>
July 28 ~ Mantecon... Always a spliffing event! Hehe. Was nice seeing some of the Anime-Englanders.
August 3 ~ Trip down to Southend... To visit Nath's grandfolks and his uncle... all of whom are awsome people! Good humour and friendliness all round. 'Tis such a pretty place down by the sea... We walked down the World's longest pier! =0
August 15 ~ Mum's birthday! Got her the most expensive present to date! xD Ouch, my bank.
Got my hair cut as well (finally). The stylist was a bit too enthusiastic, so now I have a really short loada layers. Looks ok with a well-placed clip... Dread to think what it'll be like when I have to wash and tame it myself. Straightners, methinks. Bah.
August 16 ~ Results Day... Finally set my mind at rest. Got JUST enough sodding UCAS points in order to secure my place at Aberystwyth! *throws confetti* Art made a B grade instead of the C I'd come to expect, so that was a bonus! Makes up for my poop in psychology.
Scary really... That's my future pretty much sorted for another 3 years...
~ I'll do me silly film reviews in another post, I'm feeling cluttered enough already! ^^;
~ In other news... got me the new Pokemon Diamond on import the other month... So I've done the obviously cool thing and made my own trainer card! (Is all the rage, apparently) 8D

Yep, it's that time again... update time I mean, not Easter.
...Talking of which! Hope everyone is having an awsome break, whether it be from uni, or just general festivity. ^^; Hehe, know I certainly had a fun 2 weeks off, though all I have to jog my memory is my calendar... so, even if this turns out to be a long post, chances are it won't be too detailed. Yay?
Spent the first day of the holidays at "bro's" house, watching filums with a few buddies, which was ace, much girly fun... ^_~
Managed to get a bunch of us to Alton Towers... There are photos, thanks to Manteca, but I ain't gonna fuss you with them... mainly because ones with me in are hiddeous! xD But yeah, that was a particularly awsome visit there because, despite it being cold, longest we had to queue for a ride was prolleh about 15 minutes! o_O
After that, the remainder of my holidays was spent in Brummingham, with my wonderful Nath *bounces*
Again, he cooked some absolutely lovely things for us, + candles and wine. Mmm. ^_^ Always good. His band thing, Provenance, came round one night. Was nice to see those guys again and bask in their musical talent. lololol No sarcasm there, actually. Stayed over in Leicester at the weekend as Nath's grandparents were nice enough to put up with us! Comfiest sofa-bed evah! Stayed in bed/lazed around aaall day monday... suitable way to spend our 7 months together, or so I say! <3 Rented 'The Prestige' and got an indian to munch on, also a nice addition. Hehe. Was nice to have his sister round the house as well, we have quite a bit in common, so a good chat was much appreciated. =)
Now? Just missing him a hell of a lot. I swear it gets harder each time. Still, suppose that's to be expected with an ever-increasing attachment.
Mooo. Art exam next week. NO ideas for my 'final piece' yet, though.
Randomly... Duck has decided to nest in our garden, though gawd knows why. o_O; Keeps getting raped by wandering males. Poor creature.

Awsome film! Kinda different to how it's portrayed in the trailer, but still verry good indeed. Less focused on spectacular magic effects than I was hoping, and it does require attention all the way through. But, all becomes clear in a rather unnerving, yet impressive ending.

OMG best film evurr! Well, maybe not ever, but certainly one of the best things I've seen. As with filum mentioned above, the story wasn't ALL based around fairytale and magic, but this in NO way made it any less spectacular! The fantasy bits were very well-made and detailed, the parts concerning war were, it has to be said, quite dreary and graphic, though I found myself all tense and glued to the screen from the very beginning. If you weren't lucky enough to see this at the cinema, free up a couple of hours one evening to watch this! *shakes fist*

Urf, dunno how to start, for once. Too apathetic to start ranting about, anything, for once. Missing Nath a lot, which doesn't help.
Got to spend last weekend with him in Aber again, which was as awsome as ever. ^_^ Had Damo and his friend cook for us all, and that was actually rather nice! Never had water chestnuts before! ^^;
Journey home was rather ghey though... would have had to make 4 changes lasting over a 6 hour journey! Fuckin rail service. But thankfully, me folks came to collect me from Wilmslow, cut the journey down by a bit. Though, due to the sudden, mass amounts of snow, there were several crash sites to navigate. Still, better than being on a bleedin' coach in that weather, I suppose! >_<

In other news... Went to see the '300' film last night with me proxyBro. That was absolutely spiffing! Rather graphic, but visually stunning. Mandatory sex scene just 15 minutes in, and many more semi-naked women to follow... guys seemed to appreciate that in contrast to feeling bad when comparing themselves to the warrior men! xD Was silly-expensive to watch it at the Manchester I-Max though, even with student discount. Peh. Oh, and seeing as only the front 2 rows had any seats left on them, we came out with neck ache.
Heh, think that covers the relatively note-worthy points since me last oopdate.

6 months ago to this day, I was lying in bed next to the most wonderful man I've ever met... He took a risk, and asked me out. So began my 6 months of bliss, excitement and love. ^_^
Hoping to visit Aberystwyth next weekend for a little celebration... And to see the other awsome people there, of course! =p Well, that's if the trains aren't on strike or whatever's happening at the moment. Bloody rail-service.
Apparently Nath had ordered a gift for me to arrive today, totally unexpected, but the people responsible for its delivery seem to have screwed up. Heads will be smashed, in theory! *shakes fist* Aww, such a sweetheart. Hope he manages to get money back. -_-
Despite always considering myself to be the loyal type... I never thought I'd find someone so perfect, not in real life. I didn't think I'd escape the 'bad phase' I was going through, but, not looking for love seems to work out just fine. Happiest half a year I've experienced!

The date and venue for our Leaver's Ball has finally been arranged... which I'm kinda looking forward to. Hotel in the middle of Disley... Rooms available with use of the pool, gym and included breakfast. Tempting, but expensive... especially with me wanting a whole new dress for it. ^^;
Also, booo for having to resit a psychology module from last year! Worth it in the end I guess.
Tomorrow? Busy busy. Gotta go to town to get prezzies and stuff for the 2 parties which follow, consecutive parties. One from 6 - 8... the next from 8 - midnight. The latter an excuse to dress up a bit and drink, the previous, a gathering in which we'll be out-numbered by them religious folk. Ooerr. And, apparently have to go practice driving with dad again... must try not to stall again. Eheh.

Well, got my results back from the January exams... Wasn't too fun.
Need to try harder with the next lot if I want my 240 sodding UCAS points! (Yes, they will always be referred to as sodding). Shouldn't be tooo hard... if I can make one huge last effort in art to get the grade I want, should help make up for lack of progress in me other subjects. No chance I was getting a B in sociology, let's face it.
That's another thing got me down today. Feeling somewhat inconsistently well favoured in that subject. Can't quite think why, though, could be just bastard hormones playin' up and making me irritable? Hmm.
But yays for getting a free toaster! Make it to uni, and that thing will be comin' with me! Yeah bitch. ^_^ |

Eclipse of the moon, just disappeared now...
...So strange, just to look at it. You can tell it's a sphere, but to actually consider it's size is mind boggling. The thought of our huge Earth, casting a shadow on it. Is it only my mind which separates itself to give me a mental view of space, with the Sun, and our two little planets perfectly aligned. o_O;
Also, I heard somewhere that the moon is a factor in the menstrual cycle...
Wish these stomache cramps would bugger off. >_<

Moo. Was reminded, yesterday morning, that I was going to see Nine Inch Nails at Manchester Apollo... that same damn evening! Good job the time of my driving lesson didn't interfere with getting there on time! >_< Still, got there in the end along with my 7 others.
Never seen so much black in my life! =o Would make me a hypocrite to complain, but, like, SO many goth-type people there, and plenty older than us too. Hehe. Queue moved pretty quick once the doors were open, which pleasantly surprised me.
Think the whole affair was late starting... And NIN's supporting act? Totally not worth the wait. -_-

Myeah, was quite disappointed when a potentially pretty guy turned out to have rather pointy boobs, and, to be of the female gender. Woo, was some surprise for people there! Aside from the 2 leading women looking utterly apathetic, the music was, at best, synthesized repetitiveness. Who likes electro?! Yeah? Thought I did as well. *shrugs* Each 'song' wasn't too long, but the lyrics were simple and, from what I could make out, pretty obscure. Something about broken glass being a luxury, was it? o_O Though, I can really see what they tried to do... Maybe performing live isn't to their advantage. Anyone who's curious...

When LT finally left the stage, the actual NIN concert was pretty cool. Woulda helped if I'd known more than one song, but, my bad, I suppose. ^^; Very good live performance, can't complain about those guys really. The hoi polloi on the other hand... >_> Ooo I coulda kicked someone!

Doctor phoned just to tell me my results {taken one damn week ago} showed I was resistant to the antibiotics he'd prescribed me... Hmmm... Useful. Even my body is starting to get fed-up and cure itself! But ah well... new ones... fun.
Having Nath over for the weekend was absolutely wonderful ^_^ Nice to feel I have someone so caring. Went to see 'Hot Fuzz', which is freakin' ACE! Love Simon Pegg & Bill Bailey, even if his part wasn't huge. Hehe. Started in quite a comical way, style much like Spaced, but soon became quite graphic and dark, which I wasn't expecting! Can't wait to be back with my love again. Kinda gets that bit more lonely each time he departs.

YUS! Got me my car! *jigs* Toyota Yaris SR 1.3... if that makes more sense to anyone else. Just taken it for a mini drive and discovered that the acceleration is veeerry sensitive... and the position of the gearstick is confusing compared the the car I have in lessons. >_> Still. All practice I guess.
Slightly less fun, however, is some nasty illness that's been making me oddly stressed. And, I've run out of the prescribed antibiotics... Well, that was well planned, wasn't it?! *shakes fist* Ouch. =(
Got a few parties and such coming up, one being an excuse to wear my 'goth whore' dress, so that should provide me with some much-needed amusement. What with all my being quite introverted recently, just not been in the mood. Yanno that feeling where you really wanna be with people, like lonliness, but at the same time dun really want to do an awful lot. Mebbe missing Nath makes me more lethargic as well.

Mahah! I pwned my interview! ^_^ Was so utterly nervous before hand, which was pretty unlike me. Guess this is something I actually want huh. Still, lucky me got the head of the school, which turned out to be an awsome thing! Had an informal chat, liked my odd portfolio, agreed that art at school is silly, and all with me dressed as a pirate! {Minus the hat & patch, obviously} ^^; So yeah, got an conditional offer out of that. Phew. Now all I need is 240 sodding UCAS points. General Studies for the win eh... 'cause there's no chance in hell I'm passing sociology! >_< I'll try get a better grade in art as well... exam papers released today, and there's one question, a little tedious, that I can actually do competantly. In theory.
All in all, that whole 5 days there was amazing! I kinda messed up Nath's lovely plans for a Valentine's meal 'cause of my nervous behaviour, which I felt terrible for, because he prepares lovely meals. =( Though the day itself was ace, tiring, but ace. Got me some beautiful gifts <3
Aaaand... Speak of the devil, he's just arrived, totally randomly, which is bloody nice! =D

Despite the obvious changes, I'm still a mass of uncertainty. -_- Feel as if I've drifted, somehow, from a few friends since I was actually able to make my own conscious decisions about the ways I behave.
Learning to drive! Hmm, kinda fun, kinda not... Going to be an expensive experience, but at least it ain't as hard as I originally thought ^^; Plus Dennis is awsome, doesn't shout at me when it all goes tits up! Looking for something small to do my own practice in now... Most probably a Toyota Yaris, fwee!
Still, gotten a new confidence and much needed boost of energy since being with my wonderful 'Beneret'. Totally pulled me back from the edge, for which I'm eternally grateful for, yet will probably never be able to emphasise just what/how much that meant. Gorgeously sexy and romantic... just like one of them fairytale romances, with the prince and all... o_O; Yeah, you know what I mean.

Just wonderful *is half-sarcastic* Only about 13 weeks left now until I can bugger off. Yeah, still have exams, but otherwise there's relative freedom! Will miss me buddies though, only down-side. =(
Slooowly making a come-back in art sice the fire... Just hoping what I have now will be good enough to impress the administrators at Aberystwyth uni, eep! Interview on Valentine's Day... Peh.
Chances are I will cry if I ain't accepted there, especially after making such awsome friends. <3

Pilfered a lovely A4 sketchpad recently, so been attempting to fill it with, err, joy?
This one is my half of a Christmas 'angel trade' with the ultra-spiffy Kitsune. Not overjoyed with his hair, but the rest of him is acceptable, seeing as I've only just started getting back to anime... no? Hehe. Sketched out with my new mechanical pencil, scanned (obviously), and colour-tinted in Photoshop CS2 over a papery kinda texture, thing. o_O
